Paul Moritz Warburg and
Felix Moritz Warburg were the third and the fourth sons of Moritz M. Warburg
and Charlotte Oppenheim. They had two older brothers Aby and Max, two
younger sisters Olga (Warburg) Kohn-Speyer and Louise (Warburg) Derenberg
and one younger brother, Fritz M. Warburg. After Siegmund Warburg's death in
1889, their father Moritz became the head of the firm and although their
cousin Abraham Siegmund Warburg had joined the firm before them, the
Mittelweg Warburgs would prove the stronger branch and direct the future of
