The Lees of Leesylvania : Soldiers of the Old South … Henry Lee (1691-1747) who married Mary Bland, the eldest daughter of Richard Bland and Elizabeth Randolph. Through this lineage, the Lees of Virginia are related to the famous Randolph family. Henry Lee built Lee Hall and founded what became known as the Leesylvania lineage of the Lee family. Leesylvania came into the Lee family from Henry Corbin who deeded it to his daughter Laetitia, of whom the first Richard Lee was a guardian. When Laetitia Corbin married Richard Lee II in 1674, the property passed into the Lee family. But it was only in 1747 that a Lee settled on the property and established Leesylvania.
