The Costers - merchants of New York … of the original Coster brothers, John G. Coster survived Henry A. Coster by 25 years and was among New York City's five richest men in 1830, along with John Jacob Astor, Stephen Whitney, Robert Lenox and Nathaniel Prime. John G. Coster had several sons and daughters. His son John H. Coster married one of the twin daughters of Daniel Boardman, a very rich man. He once owned Washington Hall, where A.T.
