November 23rd 2001 

* Ramadanesque official reception in the Mechtel hotel of Tunis with parade of fashion for signed children ATCHOUM and animation by the orchestra Belhassen Boussaâda and singer Zine Haddad.
The friends and the getting on well SOS came numerous to heighten by their presence this demonstration of promotion in favour of the SOS children.
The German actress of origin Tunisian Miss Donia Ben Jemia created the surprise while putting back a check of 10.000 (6500 DTS) to the SOS Tunisian association.
 

November 14th 2001
 
* At an official reception organized November 14th 2001 by the Tunisian Agency of Internet (ATI) and transmitted in direct by the Tunisian Television Channel 7.

November 1st 2001

* A ceremony took place at the Village of SOS children of Gammarth during which the President of SOS KINDERDORF INTERNATIONAL, Mr. Helmut Kutin handed some distinctions to 11 collaborators of the villages of SOS children of Gammarth and Siliana, of the signet rings of the Merit that were awarded in the Mother SOS and the Fathers of the VESOS.

 



 

October 31th 2001  

* Inauguration of our third village of SOS children of Mahrès, Gouvernorat of Sfax,: The official ceremony has been presided by M. Abderrahim Zouari, Minister Youth, the childhood and the Sports and Mr. Helmut Kutin, President of the International organization of the villages of SOS children.

The SOS event has been celebrated in a very cordial and animate ambiance in which the children had a place of honour, and this in presence of several personalities, considerable people and of the members and the friends of the Tunisian association of the Villages of SOS children. This day was the opportunity for our guests to discover our new socio - educational institution and also to share this moment of joy and conviviality with our children surrounded with the mothers SOS and the whole personal that watches over them.

At the time of the ceremony of inauguration, President Kutin awarded in M. Abdeljelil Grami, President of the ATVESOS, the most medal of distinction and the SOS merits in testimony of the fidelity, solidarity and the efforts opened out in favour of the SOS children.






August 7th 2001 

* Visit in the VESOS Gammarth of the German actress of origin Tunisian Donia Ben Jemia, star of the set televised " Marienhof " that had the first price at the time of a contest to the German Television.

* Visit of Mrs Andrée Lahoud, Wife of the Lebanese President, to the SOS Children’s Village of Gammarth, accompanied by the Lebanon Ambassador’s Wife, Mrs Ghofrane and Mrs Karoui, State Secretary to the Social Affairs Ministry.



June 24th 2001

*
The success of three girls from the SOS Children’s Village of Gammarth in the Baccalaureate exam : Noura, Sabra and Faouzia. The access to the 2nd year in Law School for Raja. The success of 5 children from the SOS Children’s Village of Gammarth and Siliana in Basic Education Degree (9ème).
 


June 23rd 2001

* The International Day of the SOS Children’s Villages celebrated in our three Tunisian Villages. The presence of Miss Tunisia, Leïla Ouelha, Godmother of the Tunisian SOS Children’s Villages, enhanced the manifestation of SOS Children’s Village of Siliana.

 


June 22nd 2001

*  Club Med Hammamet invited 100 children from the SOS Children’s Villages and Youth Hostels for a “planetarium snack”

 


June 21st 2001
*  A TV programme concerning the SOS activities in Tunisia was broadcast.

June 20th 2001

An open-door Day for Journalists, friends of the Association. Presentation of the activities and a programme in favour of unsheltered children in consideration of the efforts deployed by the Association to take care of SOS Children and Youths.
