The Austrian Herman Gmeiner (1919 – 1986), founder of SOS-KDI, created the
first SOS Children’s Village in 1949 in Imst, Austria. Since then 423 SOS
Children’s Village have been established in 131 counrtries all over the
world.
Helmut
Kutin, successor of the late Herman Gmeiner since 1985, continues the SOS
action in the same spirit and with the same commitment in order to make it
possible to the SOS Children to grow up happily. |
