SOS Children’s Villages
 

The Criteria for admitting children to the SOS Children’s Village :

Social Situation :
Children in danger and/or being in difficult situations are threatening their health or their physical and moral integration, as determined by the 20th article of the Children Protection Law.

Priority is given to the unsheltered children :

 
Orphans of parents without any possible assistance from the closely related

Abandoned children

Children in difficult situation threatening their physical and moral integration

Age : To be between 0 and 6 years old / Exception made for older siblings

Health : To be free of any physical or mental handicap

The composition of the admission document :

1. An Admission Application formulated and signed by the Child’s Father, Guardian or the
Deputy of Childhood Protection
2. A Birth Certificate of the Child
3. A Copy of the Identify Card of the Parents or the Guardian
4. The Social Inquiry Report delivered by the social welfare worker and confirmed by the social
  welfare worker of the Association
5. A Medical Certificate delivered by a Public Health physician certifying that the Child can live
  collectively and is free of any physical or mental handicap and confirmed by the physician
  of the SOS Children’s Village
6. The decision of the Family court to place of the Child.
7. The Report of the Deputy of Childhood Protection justifying the placing of the Child in the
SOS Children’s Village (within either Conventional or emergency measures).
